Top Scary Movies
In my first writing piece my genre was a powerpoint. At that time that was the only genre that came to my mind. I ended up getting a 85/100. However, in the beginning of class they would do these lesson called genre exposures, where they show us how to use diffrent types of genres. That is when I got my idea for my next writing piece.
Urban Legends at Winchester Gardens
As classes passed we had Mini-lesson that helped me with my genre exposures. For this writing piece I decided to use a blog as my genre. Not only did my genre exposure increase by my writing piece itself. I had confrences that helped me shape this writing piece into something more specific and more realistic. I ended up getting a 90/100. I would then take this knowledge and apply it to my 3rd writing piece.
Top Conspiracy Theories
My third writing piece was about conspiracy theories. I tried to connect the topic with my last two writing pieces. For this writing piece I used an online newspaper article as my genre. For this piece I got a 98/100. I believe that my text features and my "NEW YORK TIMES" mentor text helped me achive the genre that I was going for. As for my next writing piece things changed.
Writing piece after writing piece I have grown. Grown in areas such as introducing my purpose clearly, my genre's changing to something more creative, learning how to use the right tone for my piece etc. For example :

Serial Killers
In my last writing piece I decided to use a genre shown to us during mini-lesson. That genre was called a "Photo Essay" in which there are pictures and a small discription, but the picture tells most of the story. When we were shown this genre I found it interesting, I had never seen that genre before. That mini- lesson was perfect timing because I was stuck on what genre to do. For this writing piece I got a 91/100. I know that I went down, but it was my first time using this genre.

Not only has my genre exposure and my creativity grown, but so have my CBM scores. From my first CBM score I got a 217 to my last one in which I got a 242. Now I know I wrote more in my fourth CBM but you never put my score up, and yes Brent I did take it I remember writing about dogs and my future career.
In conclusion, I believe that I deserve a high 90. Writing piece after writing piece I have shown you how much i've grown and learned. I have shown you that I am able to apply what I have learned into my writing pieces. I have shown you that my creativty has grown by using different genres and my making my pieces more realistic.
